A Dream on the Water – Our Higley Flow Beginning

There’s something special about the way time slows down on the lake. The sun hits the water just right, laughter echoes from the dock, and the stillness in the air feels like an exhale after years of holding your breath. That’s exactly what we found—and continue to cherish—at our camp on Higley Flow.

Owning a place like this has always been a dream of ours. A spot where we could watch our girls grow, explore the woods barefoot, spend endless hours in the water, and create memories that stick like campfire smoke in your favorite sweatshirt. This little piece of the Adirondacks quickly became our place to unplug and just be.

When we first stepped foot inside, the camp had good bones but needed love—and we were ready for the challenge. We’ve slowly started renovating the space, room by room, turning it into something that reflects both the peacefulness of the lake and the energy of the family that lives inside it. Every improvement feels deeply personal—like we’re building the story of our summers one board and brushstroke at a time.

This place isn’t just a house. It’s where our daughters will learn to paddle, to dive, to build forts and to make s’mores just a little too crispy. It’s where we sit on the dock at sunset, toes dangling in the water, overwhelmed with gratitude that this dream is no longer just a vision—it’s our life.
